Homemade Pepperoni Garlic Bread




  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 20-25 slices of pepperoni
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French or Italian bread in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, and crushed red pepper flakes until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered bread.
  6. Next, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella.
  7. Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  9. Once done, remove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  10. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for garnish.
  11. Slice the garlic bread into individual servings and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
