BUTTER COOKIES

Ingredients:

  • 175g all-purpose flour
  • 140g softened butter
  • 60g powdered sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5g cornstarch

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter for 1 minute. Add the powdered sugar and beat for another minute. Add the vanilla and egg, and beat until fully incorporated.
  3. Sift the flour, salt, and cornstarch into the creamy butter mixture. Stir everything together with a spatula until smooth.
  4. Transfer the cookie mixture into a piping bag with a star-shaped tip at the end.
  5. Pipe cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet as shown in the video.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
