Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops and Potatoes

  • 4-6 pork chops, boneless or bone-in
  • 6-8 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. Layer Potatoes: Arrange the sliced potatoes evenly on the bottom of the crockpot.

  3. Season Pork Chops: Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

  4. Arrange Pork Chops: Place the seasoned pork chops on top of the potatoes in the slow cooker.

  5. Mix Ranch Seasoning and Soup: In a bowl, mix together the dry ranch seasoning mix, condensed cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth until well combined. You can also add sour cream to this mixture for extra creaminess, if desired.

  6. Pour Mixture Over Pork Chops: Pour the ranch mixture over the pork chops and potatoes, ensuring everything is evenly coated.

  7. Cook: Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours. Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops and your slow cooker.

  8. Check for Doneness: About 30 minutes before the cooking time is up, check the pork chops and potatoes for doneness. The pork chops should be tender and cooked through, and the potatoes should be soft.

  9. Serve: Once everything is cooked through, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired, and serve hot. You can serve the pork chops and potatoes with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
